1. How has Bank of America prepared you in your career

I worked on the Bank of America Credit Risk application for 11 years for both Fix income and derivative, so I think my experience is suitable for this position Senior Risk Developer - CDS clearing possion at ICE.

2. What was enjoyable about working at Bank of America

Helping my customers. Realizing the importance of the financial industry and how it changes lives. Helping someone with a debt or just helping them balance their accounts and keeping track.

Ill say everyday has been great, I have enjoyed the experience thus far. Dislike is a severe word, but rather constructive changes, I wish there were more opportunities for growth. Cutting certain positions, hence limiting the chain up the company.

As a senior developer for Credit Risk application I was involved in design, development and implementation the Credit Risk application. Working closely with Credit Analytics research group, other development team members, QA testing team and release management.

Pros

Recently, the branch I work at has gone through a lot of changes, and those changes have made me a better teller. I unofficially do the tasks an head teller will. The smooth running of the teller line falls directly on my shoulders. I train and help new tellers, I responsible for cash, teller errors, atm... Etc.

I really had to push with sales learning different ways to approach people with different products. Finding out what would work best for them. Which is just the same as here finding what the customers needs really are and what they are looking for.

My previous role of Change manager consisted of managing a project worth Three Million dollars. I lead regular meetings to discuss project status and any outstanding items. I also developed workflow plans and managed all repositories for the project deliverables.

Ive learned a lot while working at Bank of America Ive about banking and ive also learned a lot about myself. Ive aslo enjoyed working with my fellow associated.

I like to work in a fast paced environment,Yes the BAC is fast paced but you also sit all day long.I like to move around.

I worked in service to sales...which means I would speak with the customers help them with their account needs and then inform them of what their spacific account had to offer,aligning that with any spacific needs that customer might have.You dont want of offer or try to sell something thats not going to benefit the customer.

Helping the customers, changing their lives. Going above and beyond for them.

Not having the support from the managers as I thought as a manager you should be very supportive to your employees.

Being a tableau developer fora such a big financial institution was a very challenging role, however, it enriched my career growth.

Time constraint was a major issue that we had to deal with.

Working together with great people and helping customers are very rewarding.

Cons

I had a good experience at Bank of America. Compensation could be better and the promised incentive never materialized.

It is very similar for this role. I learned lot of cash handling dealing with customers and about financial products.

I would like to shift towards a role that deals primarily with the strategic needs of the client.

I was responsible for a portfolio of more than 30 clients ranging throughout the energy value chain. My duties involved financial analysis, modeling, industry research, and drafting memos for senior bank executives on live transactions.

What I liked most about working for Bank of America is their encouragement for growth. Networking events were always plentiful and many associates were great mentors.
