Go back to Wal-Mart

Why did you leave Wal-Mart?

After 21 years I am ready for a change. The company has changed and many changes are not changes I that support the basic beliefs the company was founded on and I believe in. I have been on the fence for last 5 years and feel it is time for us to part ways.

What did you enjoy about working at Wal-Mart?

Developing Associates and seeing them grow with the Company. Diamonds in the rough.

Did Wal-Mart offer you any advancement opportunities?

I have always taken any challenge they have given me.

How would you rate management at Wal-Mart?

Collaborative... Sharing what is working and what is not to better the business.

What types of improvements do you feel Wal-Mart needed?

I was getting Letters to the President about lines which were mainly occurring from 10pm to 2am when ROP had only 3 cashiers scheduled I tracked the letters and showed my MM the pattern most of the issue were occurring after 10pm. I told him I was going to extend some of the 4 hour shifts to 8 hour shifts so that we would have at least 5 registers open until Midnight and 3 registers open until 2am our Letters to the President were reduced by 13% the first week and by the 3rd week they were down 67%.
