What did you enjoy about working at Wells Fargo?

A. Working with my team and helping them achieve their goals, building rapport and trust within the team. Creating an environment where they could share ideas and successes openly. Creating a visible presence with the realtors and builders in WNY. Wells Fargo became a presence in the community where it did not exist before. Teaching my team about programs that they were not utilizing could help increase their sales and deepen relationships.
b. When I joined the team in 2012, there was a lack of trust, structure and accountability with prior branch manager, significantly like 1:1 coaching, regular team sales meetings and ensuring that their pipeline was a priority and not my own agenda. In order to break down the “walls” that existed for many years, I had to earn this one step at a time, through 1:1 coaching sessions that provided an opportunity their trust by being Conducting weekly sales rally meetings where loan consultants were able to openly share successes.

What did you dislike about working at Wells Fargo?

A. Great question. There were two different originations systems that were being utilized; the goal was to migrate users to the new system. There was significant resistence to adapt, as they were comfortable with the status quo. I was hired learning only the new system, so first I needed to understand why the resistence. With 1:1 coaching, structured training and recognition of progress, we were able to move the needle from 10% usage to more than 60% usage of the new system.

Overall, how would you describe your time at Wells Fargo?

A. Mostly very positive, there was lots of hard work, long hours, working nights and weekends which resulted in restoring relationships, building new ones. The rapport and trust I developed with my team is something I am very proud of.
