Working at Baywide Income Tax Service:

It is wise for job seekers to be very leery of the promises this company makes. The company put in help-wanted ads describing the Tax Preparer position as one in which the person will be also be invited to come back to work the next year's tax season. When I was hired and when the employment ended on April 15, 2009, the company said that I'll be invited to come back to work the next tax season (January-April 2010). In June 2009, the company wrote a recommendation letter saying that the company was satisfied with my work and that I'll be offered a job the next tax season. However, the company did not follow through with their promises even when they said that I was an excellent tax preparer and did an excellent job. In January 2010, all of a sudden, I was told that I couldn't come back to work that tax season. An April 2010 newspaper article claimed that their business was very properous then. I was left in the lurch because of the company's broken promises. I don't want to see the company string along others. If possible, I don't want to see anybody else possibly hurt by this company. On a positive side, the company did pay weekly and very promptly while I was working there the short time.
