The first year was ok I learned a lot about merchandising and retail but the last three years were absolutely terrible. Our store went thru five different store managers and the moral in the store went out the window. Our HR department backs up the managers regardless what the situation is. There is no open door policy, the scheduling is horrible ,and we get the same twenty percent that the customers get.

This company is the worst job I've ever had. Turnover is very high (6 weeks on average for my store), they rarely promote from within or consider an employee's life. My general manager and district higher-ups are down right degrading, and HR Is a joke. Even if you work very hard, meet corporate's every expectation and take pride for customer care, they show very little respect, consideration, or graditude. I was told I did an outstanding job for 2 yearly evaluations, and I would receive the store's highest pay raise: 1.8%.
Please talk to the employees at bed and bath before you apply, this place is a mistake and should only be considered if you're desperate for basic income!
Starting- over $8 an hr.
2 yrs later- close to the same.
-No bonus.
-No vacation.
-No "day-off requests" granted from Nov. 1st to Feb 1st.
-Flexible schedule, easy to pick up hours because turnover is so high.

All you do is intense physical labor for 60+ hours a week! The turnover at all levels is sky high and no lasts very long. BBBY does not in any shape or form care about its employees or care to develop their people at all. You work very hard and earn a decent paycheck.. but that's it!
The only good thing about BBBY is the pay but it didn't make up for the horrible job. My pay was $60,000. Mind you that was for a lot of hours and a iving nightmare. Benefits suck.
