WORK ENVIRONMENT

hierarchical, cut-throat, conservative, old-fashioned, disorganized, high-pressure, unprofessional

Working at Broderick Street Adult Residential Facility:

It should be about the Residents that live there. It is not. It is about ego. It starts at the top. It is all about the Administrator and his cohorts. He is the three day weekend King. He comes in at about 10:30am and is gone everyday at about 2:30pm. He is always in some fictious meeting somewhere. No one can find him. He will not answer his phone. He will not call you back. He came to work last year on Halloween dressed as Jesus Christ.....

I have never met an Administrator who was so indifferent to the needs of the Residents who live on the property. He is only there for a paycheck. He is not an honorable man. Not at all.

He does not support the staff who work there. Everything has to be about him. Me, me, me, me.

Broderick Street Adult Residential Facility Salary and Benefits:

I started there at about $2.00 less an hour than the person who preceded me, (a friend of his I understand). After a year I received a 3% increase. The second year I didn't even get a quarter. Vacation time is frowned upon. Bonuses do not exist at Broderick Street. I have never seen a merit increase there. The asians who work there totally get preferential treatment.
