I work in a secreterial position for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for ten years. I love my job, however promotions for me don't come easy because I'm considered non civil status. There are 4 people in our department. Good retirement package and if invest wisely you should have a nice retirement.
My starting salary was around 25 thousand and now I'm in the low 30's. Vacation time is 3 weeks and I get about 3 weeks sick time plus 12 Holidays. I also have great benefits so even though my salary isn't that high I like the benefits. We get absolutely no perks.
