Working at Custom Cleaning and Maintenance:

I have worked for this company for approx. 5 to 5 1/2 years and I can say without a doubt that this is the best one I have ever worked for. The owner is gracious and supportive. There is an open door policy and the employees are urged to use this at any time they feel they need to discuss issues they may have. The other employees are great to work with and help each other when needed, such as when there is vacations, sick time call-off etc. They pick up the pace and pitch in to get the job done. This is a very team-oriented company and I suggest if you are looking for employment, come put in an application!!!!!! We would love to have you work with our custom cleaning family.

Custom Cleaning And Maintenance Salary and Benefits:

The pay is the best of any cleaning company out there and there are bonuses for many reasons, such as no call offs, job well done etc. The President and Vice President of the company are always there for their employees.

Working at Custom Cleaning and Maintenance:

I should've known better during my interview with the owner of this company that this was not a good company to work for, but I was truly desperate for money. First things first, the owner of this company is the most stubborn, rude, assuming woman you will meet. She makes the promise to you that she has an "open door" policy, yet when you need to talk to her, she makes you feel as if you are the dumbest person she has ever encountered and that you are doing nothing more than wasting her time. With her, if you are not in the same tax bracket as her, you are simply a nobody, no matter how much money you make for her. She will talk you down to the lowest level she can and still expect you to bust your butt all day long with a smile on your face. If she has a problem that she needs to speak with you about, she will do it first thing in the morning and ruin your entire day, then she has the audacity to tell you to cheer up and have a good day because she doesn't want to get any negative calls from her customers. She also likes to tell her employees how she is getting too old to deal with the s**t that comes along with this company any longer........mind you, she is the owner and is rarely in the office enough to deal with anything.

The "higher ups" in this company have been told about improper business ethics with numerous employees. Instead of disciplining the employee who caused the problem, they punish the employees that used the "open door" policy. I was forced to ride in a vehicle on a daily basis with a female who was a severe alcoholic and was drinking and popping pills on the job every day. Then, after she was let go because of drinking, drug use and stealing from clients, I was placed with another female who was also an alcoholic and a cocaine addict. My life was in jeopardy everyday simply because the "higher ups" thought it was nothing but gossip.

Several of the females that work for this company are also liars, thieves and cheats. You are scheduled to be in a house for a specific amount of time. Some Crew Leaders would work in the home for half the time then go shopping for the rest of the time. I also experienced people taking food out of customer's cabinets, people taking dollar bills and change off of dressers, people taking customer's iPods, people falling asleep in some customer's homes, Crew Leaders asking their helpers to lie so that they don't get in trouble.

Do yourselves a favor and stay far, far away, unless you like being treated like a moron and enjoy having your life put in danger every now and again. I will say this though, the only positive thing about this company is the Vice President, but her hands are tied 9 times out of 10.

Custom Cleaning And Maintenance Salary and Benefits:

Started at $9.00/hr. and left at $9.50/hr. You are on the road and in homes 8+ hours a day, but are lucky if you get paid 5-6 of those hours. You DO NOT get paid for the time you are in the car. Therefore, if you do not work 5+ days a week, you get no vacation or sick time.
