Bad Management - completely unconnected to employees - ALL big talk, but advancements are given to a select few - mainly people that know people. On one hand they nickle and dime everyone on the lower end, but on the other big execs get HUGE salary advances and bonuses.
Politics - ESPECIALLY in the HR department - a layer of old school managers managing young professionals who know their stuff but the managersto keep these people down because they are threatened about their own jobs constantly. So in festers an environment of resentment, and unfairness.
NO Advancement opportunities - this is NOT the place for anyone wanting to be career driven - because unless you are someone who knows the VP or president you won't get a budget for skills on the job training or conferences to attend. BUT if you know people, you can get reimbursed for moving 20 blocks in NYC or get hired as Legal Counsel three years out of law school (true facts).
Bad pay - the pay does not compare to other companies in the area. It is simply not reflective of one's education and talent or market comparables.
Every company has politics, but Daymon takes the cake in all my years of working in corporate America. I have NEVER worked somewhere where the Managers talk more and do less for their employees than this company.

Daymon focuses on helping grocers develop private label food and general merchandise
products. They always set up a regional office in the same city that there account is headquartered in. They assist with everything from the ingredients to the packaging. You work closely with the account assigned to but not to much of a team effort with your co-workers. It seems like you are on your own which is good or bad depending on your preference. Daymon Worldwide likes to work with those who have a background in food science or experience in retail (specifically grocery).
