The dollar store isn't hell on earth or anything like that it's just demanding and the pay isn't great. Salary averages in the mid 30's.

I gave notice and left before having another job. Just temping, right now, and the money's no better, but everything mentioned in the other review is true.
They can't keep people, and yet they don't get it. What I know and see of Family Dollar, I think I would seek them out first.
Think twice before coming here. Get all the answeres you need. If you have ANY doubts, don't do it.

Starting salary was 31,000 usd. For that amt. I was expected to work 70 plus hours a week. Impossible to get tasks done, because normally you are the only one on duty as a store manager for the majority of a workday. Imagine a 8,000 sq. ft store and you cashier, stock, clean, greet, stop theft, paperwork, hiring process, etc. Then some a-hole DM will come in and have the audacity to ask why the store isn;t looking good or why customers have complaints. The reason being is it's impossible to give good service when you are chained to a register for 5-6 hrs. per day. Plus only one scheduled day off per week. DG completely bends you over and doesn't even kiss you.
