After working as an Independent Agent with Aflac for 14 years I was dumbfounded when I was let go by the State Manager and not by Aflac.
Reason was that I was not a true Aflac Agent, I have always sold other health products to survive because the Aflac incoome was not going to cut it.
Aflac hires many many new agents with little or no experince let alone business experience, these Agents come and they go.
The whole Aflac system is like a pyramid scheme, the upper levels of management do quite well, but the lower level workers starve and simply go away, but the upper levels still get overrides so it does not matter.
Upper level to include home office, state, regional and district managers.
There is abit of percentage points that is given in overrides to the upper levels enough with the volme, the main focus is hire new recruits.
The lack od good cutomer service does not exist.
My income doubled for many years however it was not from Aflac.
It was from other Insurers who I still have and maintain my nice, quiet block of business.
