I worked for Food 4 Less for over 10 years. It was a great company when I started in California. Then they shifted the district managers and everything went to hell. So, I transferred to the midwest, and it is WORSE! To sum it up in one word-"Disorganized." They work with a lower budget than California, so less labor. But, they expect way more out of you. The only way to get it done is to work a crap load of overtime. Then you get in trouble for that. "you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't." I've never seen such a lack of leadership in any organization. The only people who get promoted are the ones who: Upper Management Likes, or they know people in the higher ranks. Or, they do "special favors," if you know what I mean. It is cut-throat. Other workers will throw you under the bus to make themselves look good in a heartbeat. I have a college degree and wanted to use it to get into upper management. Oops, big mistake and waste of time. They could care less about what credentials you have. And, they claim to support education. Yeah, right. Don't fall for that. In the end, this company has wasted ten years of my life and I am glad it is finally over.
