GDIT is not a bad place to work. In general terms I believe my work is valued and I have the athority to do my job. Benefits are about normal for a company of this type and size, but the compensation and employee 401K match are lower than many. My biggest gripe or concern is the lack of "information technology" support provided to GDIT employees. GDIT has employees all over the world. The main way GDIT directs and interacts with employees is through a multi-layered company website that is NOT user friendly. "World Class," I think not! If our customers had to deal with the level of service we receive, we would all be out of work.
Senior Leadership does appreciate the work of the rank and file, and to be honest admits the rotten technical support we receive is equally bad at all levels of the organization. GDIT employees are widely dispersed so it is difficult to both find out and compete for advancement opportunities. On balance, it is a fair place to work, nothing really good or bad.
