Producer and director are very approachable and really consider you as one of the staff, not one of the help. Must be aggresive, outspoken and ready with ideas for every news meeting. Obviously speaking Spanish is needed for on-screen presence but if you seek production and camera-work experience than that is not an issue. Everybody at the station speaks English and not only are they always willing to help but will actually give you a chance to use the equipment on your own (once you've learn the system) during crucial times, i.e. run the board during the first quarter of the live newscast. You must show initiative.
