How sad for this employer that the owner and his mistress are unable to see that THEY are the reason that so many staff have left in such a short time. During the past 6 months, 33 people have either resigned or been fired. Many just quit and don't even give notice. They just can't go back another day. The numbers speak for themselves. Even the two who were forced by these people to write the two good reviews on this page are among the 33 people and are no longer employed there. Anyone who IS still there won't be for long, because they are ridiculed and humiliated on a regular basis. There is not one day that goes by that someone is not reduced to tears for some ridiculous reason. Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk, from this place and these people !!!

As I have said in the past, I respect that everyone has a point of view. However, the most recent post and its description does not match anything that we would ask of any of our employees, especially, since these concerns were not brought to any member of management. It is easy under the cloak of anonymity in a forum such as this to allege all sorts of things that may have no basis in fact. The fact is that most of our staff have been with us for quite some time and deliver outstanding service to our clients and we are proud to have them as members of our family. We, like all employers, have made some mistakes in bringing on a small number of staff that were not the right fit and were forced to take the painful steps to part company. We understand that when this happens the person affected feels bitterness towards the employer and uses an anonymous posting to express their anger and frustration. We welcome you to contact us to discuss any of the issues you raise and are happy to address any valid concerns or go through the appropriate entities to file a formal complaint that you have. We are audited by the appropriate agencies on a regular basis so have nothing to hide.

Kingley Health has proven to be the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for in my professional 25 year career. They have, by far, the highest turnover I've ever seen - not an average turnover rate for the business.
I put everything I had into the company because that's how I operate but it was never enough. I'm not going to go on a rant about things that were done, which I easily could. I am simply thankful that I was able to get out and am now happy where I work and with who I work for. I am no longer physically ill because of my job. My job responsibilities don't change on a monthly basis. My hours/shift doesn't change on a whim. My boss says good morning to me when she walks past me. I don't get sexually harrassed and I don't get belittled. I am not expected to stay an hour after my shift ends every day but if I do, it is appreciated and I am thanked. I don't have to document what is told to me knowing it will change a month later and that I was never supposed to do it that way to begin with and I'm crazy. I am RESPECTED and not treated like a child.
Kingley Health owner(s) manage by fear, they intimidate, they threaten, they disparage, they lie, they cheat, they belittle. They are inappropriate and unprofessional. They are nasty and condescending and narcissistic. They do as they say, not as they do. They commit insurance fraud. They break labor laws. They create hostile work environments and sexually harass employees. They do everything management shouldn't do to get the best out of their employees.
They have wonderful clients and wonderful people who go to work for them. Unfortunately, because of their inability to properly manage people, they lose both.
Salary does not change - you leave at the same amount you start with (if not less). I've never worked at a company that I've given so much to and did not get even a small yearly raise. I did receive a massage as a bonus, which did not cost the company any money, because it was done by one of their massage therapist while they were working. There was some driving I had to do and I was never told I could/should be reimbursed. Had I not questioned it, I wouldn't have been. This is how they operate.

My name is Alexandra. For those of you who call Kingley Health or come in, I'm one of the first people you interact with. So don't worry. I'm a real person and not one of the owners trying to con anyone into believing there are satisfied employees at Kingley Health. They don't need to. There are plenty of us who love it here.
While going through my interview process with Kingley Health, I stumbled upon this website. I saw the rants and was concerned at the time. Ultimately, I decided to give Kingley Health a shot. Needless to say, I'm glad I did.
Working for Kingley Health has developed me professionally more than school and past jobs combined. It has taught me the true meaning of being a team player and has opened my eyes to realizing that settling for mediocrity won't get anyone ahead. I can confidently say that my teammates are some of the greatest professionals I have had the honor of working with. They hold me accountable and inspire me to bring my best each and every day.
Do I enjoy the benefits of a pay check and health insurance? Absolutely! Who doesn't? But I can get those at any job. What I can't get from any job is the ability to live my passion; creating joy and hope, one person at a time. At Kingley Health, I live that every day.
That being said, Kingley Health isn't for everyone. If you're someone who's just working for the pay check and health benefits, Kingley Health isn't for you. If you're a one (wo)man team, Kingley Health isn't for you. If you're someone who thinks company and profit come before the client, Kingley Health isn't for you. If you're someone who thinks being status quo is good idea, Kingley Health isn't for you. If you feel work can never equate to fun... well... clearly you've never had fun at work!
If you are someone who knows the above core values don't hold true for you and that empowering positive lifestyle change one individual at a time is an enriching experience, then my team mates and I would hope to welcome you onboard.
When you're all about the team the team is all about you. Kingley Health is about team. When you take care of your team, you're taken care of. Going above and beyond can yields rewards of additional time off, massages, food from the cafe, business trainings and seminars. When you help make the pie bigger (bring in more revenue) you get a bigger piece of the pie yourself. Simple enough.

I've been with Kingley Health since last year...I actually moved from Philadelphia to join this team and I've never looked back. I have read some of the posts left by angry ex-employees and I've asked myself: why would anyone bash their employer? And the only answer I have: you must have failed at your job! Only angry people try to ruin the experience for the rest of us. Of course every job has it's ups and downs, but there has never been a time that I couldn't go to the owners and vent my frustrations. They have an open door policy for ALL employees; you just have to open your mouth and express your concerns.
As for the salary issues, it was simply laid out for me the expectations: see "x" amount of clients to cover your salary. See more, and you get a bonus. I've been pretty consistent with this and I have seen the bonuses: free massage, extra days off, etc. I was hired to do a job: see clients. When you see 2 clients in an 8-hour day, then you've failed as an employee. Folks always want more $$$, but what about the money you've taken for NOT doing your job? I don't understand.
We have an amazing team here: everyone looks out for each other and works really hard to help change peoples' lives. If people need a break, we work together to make it happen.
All in all, I love working here. The owners a great, the staff is amazing and the food is great! You should be lucky to be employeed here.
As for salary, I think it's very fair. As for increase in salary: when I excede the company's expectations of me, then I'll ask for a raise. Days off: I take them when I follow company procedure. Sometimes I'm told to take a day off. Free massages when you go above and beyond. How is this a bad deal???

Unlike the other people on this board who have not identified themselves, which was their choice not a requirement by Jobbite, I will identify who I am. I am one of the owners/partners of Kingley Health – Taz and the only time you’ll find me on this website is on this post.
I don’t disagree with the posts that are written here. Why, because I know who these people are and I know that they are angry and disgruntled. From their point of view they think they are in the right and we are in the wrong. However, I am going to give you another side of the story.
June 2010 EP posting found it so horrible that this person stayed for over a year. This person moved to another state and was given two increases while they were with us.
EPs worked in a facility whose fitness floor area was less than 1000 sq.ft. and you need more than one EP on the floor?? And since the EP was the only person on the floor and the parking lot empty – and they were responsible for providing the service to the client…that begs the question…what did it say about the amount of value they were providing that no one would come?
Some of the RDs that have posted here are already on their third job in one year – how do I know, because I get the unemployment notices and reference checks.
“Bonuses”…I hate them. But they were offered because the RDs wanted them with no concept of what that means. Bonuses are for work above and beyond. The ones that have posted here…couldn’t keep clients and had empty schedules while their colleagues got their bonuses and extra pay.
“Non-competes”? We don’t have a non-compete, we have a non-solicitation which is a far cry from a non-compete which most other employers require. We have always had a non-solicitation and will always have a non-solicitation agreement because we spent the money to get the clients and we intend to keep and serve them.
“Four weeks’ notice” is standard in the industry…what is not standard in the industry is all of the RDs that have griped left with no notice or less than two week notice…so much for it being all about the clients.
“Work more than 40hours”, “No overtime pay”…no. We never demanded work for more than forty hours – we demanded working for 40 hours not work for 20 and get paid for 40. We go through regular Department of Labor audits where we have proven to be above board in all of our compensation practices.
“Deceitful”? The only deceit is when an employee takes a salary which could be upwards of $100K and provides substandard performance to clients and colleagues.
“Clients realize this program isn’t what it’s cracked up to be”….hmmm…interesting…considering the EP and RD are responsible for providing that service and delivering the program…I think that means that the clients decided that the RD or EP weren’t good enough for them to be bothered to come back…
“Owner had to post as an employee”…trust me I have nothing to hide.
Have I made mistakes? Absolutely. In the past we have not always made good hiring decisions. We bear 50% of the responsibility and the employee bears 50% of the responsibility. As you can tell from the posts on this board we have made our fair share of mistakes in hiring but we have learned. I am pleased to say that finally we have a team that is hardworking, honest, and delivers great service to clients. They work as a team and take ownership of their mistakes as I do mine. I am proud of the team that I believe will take Kingley Health to the next level. I am saddened that we could not offer the right job opportunities for these people.
This will be my first and last post on this forum. If you are a prospective employee make your own judgments. I am cross posting this as appropriate.

Don't be fooled on your interview. This company promises the world, and delivers a third world country.
The owner, and his female partner, in more than one way are deceitful, conniving liars.
They do not care about their clients. They are revenue driven. It's no wonder they have closed almost all of their offices. It is a matter of time before the new grand hoopla closes.
Starting salary and ending were the same. No bonus. No incentives. Read all reviews they are on the mark (expect the one posted by JK or TS)

Kingley Health claims to have an HR director, Jennine, yet when employees need to reach her to file a complaint she can't be reached. No exit interview. Oh right, she is deaf so you can't call her. Oh right, she works "from home" so you will never see her. Oh right, she is not on their website. The lies start at the top...not one word of truth. As with everything else, this company lies about everything. The fact that the owner had to post as an employee on this site tells what this company is about. Steer clear. No employee has lasted more than 12 months.
no bonus, 1 week vacation, $35,000, no over time, and certainly no perks

Reading the job description, I thought I landed my dream job- I was wrong! The turnover rate speaks for itself, and its not due to the industry- considering NO dietitian leaves because they don't like the job. They all leave because the work environment and way that employees are treated from MANAGEMENT specifically. You are promised things that you will never see when you are hired, and work your butt off for no recognition, or respect. You are constantly talked down to and micromanaged. You are not trained properly, but it is your responsibility to know what you are to do and not to do. If you reach out to any former employee they will say the same. The RDs and EPs are dedicated to improving patients lives, however the hostile enviroment makes employees last for only a few months, if that. Don't fall for the same mistakes that the above people have, this company is the devil!

I disagree with the above assessments of Kingley Health. I have been with Kingley for a long time. There has been turnover which is no different than any other company I have been at. I wouldn't call it high, I would call it standard for the industry.
There used to be a lot of unprofessional people that worked here that expected pay while everybody did the dirty work for them who have left. They gossiped about other employees and always had a negative attitude. It was unpleasant to work here because of it. If you spoke up against them, they gossiped about you. They are gone now, thank goodness.
Kingley Health had a bit of stretch where it was so unpleasant due to the gossip and people that didn't want to work that I thought about going somewhere else. Many of the people that made it unpleasant are no longer here. Over the last 6 - 12 months since the last of those bad people have left, it has gotten much better. The people here are excited to be here and the company is going places. There are a lot of motivated people now. The new location in Piscataway is awesome.
As for pay increases I know that people here have gotten them.
I work hard, I get treated with respect and I have flexibility. I can't ask for anything more. I guess every story has two sides.

It's sad how in this economy people quit or leave Kingley usually within months of hire. The salary for an exercise physiologist is under 30K and pretty much you are expected to be on your feet, training and entertaining clients for 8.5 hours every day.
And yes, you work an 8.5 hour day which includes an imaginary "break" which you really can't use as there is only one exercise physiologist scheduled per site. Pretty much you'll work hard, never be acknowledged and expected to leave so they don't have to ever pay you more for a raise.
Also, I would say this place is on it's way out. Notice how during the "busy" time of 5 pm there's about two cars in the parking lot.
Good riddance!
under 30 K

You will be hired to work in a specific location, but then you will end up traveling all over the state of NJ to work. Locations close down frequently because clients realize this program is not all it is cracked up to be. I think the only reason employees stick around as 'long' as they do is because of each other, everyone gets along so well. Bonuses are non-existent; or if you get one, you have to work there for another full year in order to keep it---aren't bonuses supposed to be a reward for previous work, not future?? Steer clear of this company if you want to work somewhere long term or feel appreciated.

My experience with Kingley is not one that I would ever wish upon anyone else. The idea behind the company, and what they set out to achieve is highly commendable, but in order to achieve this I personally feel from my own experiences that there needs to be respect for the employees. I found it very hard to work for a company and have respect for management when I felt disrespected and under appreciated.
Prior to excepting this position I was not aware of the high turnover rate. If I would have known of this I would not have been as quick to accept the position. When I would question the high turnover rate, I would be told that it was due to the fact that many employees were recent college grads who were unsure of what they wanted to do prior to accepting the position. In the months I was employed at Kingley I saw an unusual amount of people quit.
The training I experienced was minimum and I didn't feel it was helpful to my specific job responsibilities.
In my experience I was promised both sign on bonuses and raises that I never recieved. However, if you plan to leave Kingley (without a minimum of 4 weeks notice) you will be 'required' to pay back the sign on bonus that you never recieved.
Throughout the entire time (less than six months--- which is extremely common) that I worked for this company I felt demeened, disrespected, and at times even humilated. By the end of the first month I would dread going into work. Prior to Kingley the shortest length of employment I had was two years.
Personally I would never again want to work for a company with the same work environment I experienced at Kingley. I sincerely hope that this has changed since the my last day, because as I previously stated I really do believe in what Kingley ultimately strives for.

Kingley Institute/Kingley Health is a disorganized, unprofessional company that treats its employees unfairly. This is the main reason for the high turn over rate. On average an employee will work at Kingley Institute/Health for about 8 months. You will work more than 40 hours a week and never be compensated for your hard work. Be leery of their website as it comes accross as an established and organized company. And consider why Kingley Institute/Health continuously has a job posting, its NOT because of company growth, its because of the high turn over!
If you are applying for a position, PLEASE READ your contract carefully and if possible have an attorney review it. Note that they can dock your pay if YOU DO NOT give 4 weeks notice though you are at "at-will employee". Employees are treated very poorly and unprofessionally. They expect professionalism from its staff but the company does not reciprocate.
Do not believe you will be "highly compensated" as this is FALSE! Company states that they will pay its employees for their hard work, but when an employees asks (and yes you have to ask) excuses are made and job performance is not longer sufficient.
Don't make the same mistake as I (and many others) have. Take the advice posted and consider applying for another job.
No bonuses, limited vacation, no perks!

Kingley is the worst company I have ever worked for. Turnover is VERY high. Most employees leave the company in less than 1 year. Many leave within a few months of being hired. Read on and you'll know why. The company has many locations and is growing. Most of the locations are in New Jersey. Some are in Pennsylvania. Most of the locations are only one employee locations so the company looks bigger than it is. The company website is impressive. But, before you apply for a job or accept an offer, read on...
Kingley promises HUGE bonuses, but finds ways or invents reasons why the employee has not earned their bonus. Employees have to argue to receive cost of living annual pay increases. The company is not supportive and does not value the contributions made by its credentialed employees, even though the company's bread and butter depends on these credentialed employees providing important health services reimbursed by health insurance companies. The company does not provide employees with time to earn continuing education units so that the employee maintains their credentials. This makes it impossible to remain employed with this company.
Kingley loves to intimidate its employees so they don't speak up against the company. They make their employees sign non-compete agreements and then threaten the employee after he or she leaves to abide by the non-compete or else...
Kingley demands 4 weeks notice from employees and shorts an employee's last paycheck by thousands of dollars if the employee leaves in less than 4 weeks. The employee has to file a claim with the department of labor to receive due compensation.
Kingley will demand more than 40 hours of work in a week but threaten to dock a salaried employee's paycheck if the employee leaves early one day despite working over 40 hours in that same week. The company will also threaten to shorten the employee's paycheck by an amount that is MORE than what the employee is paid in salary. Kingley rationalizes this action by saying that the employee caused the company to lose potential revenue by not being on the job. Therefore the employee has to pay for the loss in revenue.
I could go on...but hopefully you get the point. Don't work for this company. The money is not worth feeling stressed and worthless.
Bonuses - NONE!! Don't believe a word the company tells you!!
Salary - deduct the nonexistent bonus that the company will take out of your paycheck if you don't give 4 weeks notice. Be ready to file a claim with the department of labor to get your money.
