Kleinfelder as a company really has no clue of what they are doing one week to the next. They bill themselves as progressive, but in reality they basically reward incomptenece with promotion rather than admit a mistake and find the right person. I saw in my two years at the company that of the 20 or so people that I started with, 2 were still with the company in 2 years. This generally is a common theme nationwide with other people I have talked with as they have a very high turnover rate. They like to bleed projects dry and again only reward upper management with that and screw over the grunts as best they can. There is little responsibility from upper management as far as taking blame or responsibility when something goes wrong and they are quick to try to find scap goats rather than find out why things went wrong and fix those systems or processes. They generally hire and promote very junior or inexperienced personnel who nod their heads yes and don't rock the boat, so to speak, which leads to frustration from the workers who know what they are doing and have to try to explain how things work to your manager. If you are from CA, you will probably get promoted faster due to the fact the company hieracrhy somehow sees Californians as superior people than if you live somewhere outside the pacific time zone.
