If you enjoy spending your days typing instructions for people in India on how to do your job, you should like working at KPMG. It would help if you aren’t very bright. Wouldn’t want you to be smart enough to realize that your job is going there, too. First it was the tax work, and now there are posters in the lobby with smiling people announcing “I’m an e-auditor!†so rest assured that every bit of audit work they can send overseas is going next. Be prepared for the audit staff to be decimated by layoffs as the tax staff was. KPMG used to be an awesome place to work, but has become the most negative work environment I've ever experienced.

The culture here is very laid back unlike some of the other large firms, though you are expected to work hard and you most likely will put in long days. You can move up from associate to senior associate in a few years if you do well. KPMG is continuing to grow so there is a lot of opportunity.
The pay is around 95k and I have many years of experience…I think this is average.
