WORK ENVIRONMENT

Working at Kroger:

Working for Kroger was my first job; I started at 16. Started out working in the back, stocking in the Dairy Dept. I'll just say this: it all depends on your Managers and Dept. Heads. Both my department heads were...irksome, to say the least. Had some good managers though.

Kroger Salary Salary and Benefits:

I started at $6.60, $.5 above min wage at the time. After min wage went up and a few $.5 raises, I left after three years at $7.60. Kinda lame, but the benefits make up. For only $5/month you get full health, vision, and dental. Even part-time employees. Full timers can also enroll their entire family for very little. I know some that had a wife and two kids and paid not but $20 a month.

hierarchical, strict, old-fashioned, high-pressure, bureaucratic

Working at kroger:

You get caught up in the politics and get no where. Your only chance of making good money is being there at min 10 years. You would barely make 70 at that point. If you want to grind it out every day this is the job for you

Working at Kroger:

The pay is average at best. Moving up can take forever especially if you can't relocate to another city. Hours are long and you have to work weekends.

Kroger Salary Salary and Benefits:

Benefits are good. Pay is ok. Co-Managers usually earn between 35-40k.
