The stores are nicer, cleaner, and they want you to provide good customer service. The most important thing though is your sales numbers and making sure everything runs smoothly including customer service, managing employees, and merchandising. You are going to be moving constantly and doing many things at once. Department managers are definitely the workhorses of the store. Lowe's is definitely a male oriented environment. The associates are very blue collar. If you want to work in a home improvement store then Lowe's is the best choice.
Benefits are good and you get to buy Lowe's stock at a discounted price. Pay is negotiable and takes into account different things like experience. I earned in the very low 30s.
