hierarchical, strict, cut-throat, conservative, competitive, fast-paced, political, high-pressure

Working at Marketing and Planning Systems:

If you are straight out of college this place might be a good place to start. In general, work hours are from 10-730, often much longer. There are times where people work 70 hours for very little pay (see below). On a daily basis, you are most likely found checking numbers. Analysts are given very little reign and the company is VERY hierarchical. To the point where it's virtually impossible to give recommendations to people ONE level above you. Most people there are very nice, but there are some very obnoxious people there, and they are the ones who tend to stay.

It is simply a very bad environment and you can't get a lot out of it. STAY AWAY!!

Marketing And Planning Systems Salary and Benefits:

$45000 plus bonus, 3 weeks vacation, no other real perks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

hierarchical, cut-throat, conservative, political, high-pressure, bureaucratic

Working at Marketing and Planning Systems:

The pay is decent for an entry-level job in Market Research after college (not decent for a job in Management Consulting), and in the first month you may learn a thing or two about formatting slides in Powerpoint.

If you plan on working here for longer than a month, expect to spend 80% of your waking life in the office, expect to learn nothing at all, and expect to see employee turnover typical of a fast-food joint.
