People make it into management solely on the basis of seniority; have no management skills; and confuse management for rigid oppression of underlings. Professionals are beaten into submission and the support staff are treated like migrant farm workers. Until recently, they cheated non-exempt employees out of overtime. The worse thing is that there is constant turnover because they keep firing the most qualified people who they present a challenge to the plantation mentality. On the good side ... well, the sun's always shining in Reno.
They pay low salaries because people want to work in fields where they think they can help people - not realizing that this organization hasn't helped anyone but those in power for decades. Experienced professionals get one week of vacation to start!

Until recently, this organization made people who were called supervisors but who were really not supervisors work excessive overtime without pay, I mean, hours and hours at a time. Whole weekends. Now apparently someone complained to either the federal or state labor department and they've had to stop this practice. But why did it take a complaint? This outfit is supposedly representing judges for Christ's sake.
Absolute minimum.
