I worked at this hotel for quite some time. It started out as an independently owned hotel, but once Omni purchased it, everything went downhill. I believe Omni Hotels has the highest turnover rate with employees. They are more concerned with Corporate Policies than they are about their employees. Meetings, meetings, and more meetings, while the guests are not happy and the employees are not happy. The meetings were more to point fingers at one another and talk about how bad everything was. No one ever focused on strengths, just weaknesses. Since I have left there, I know of at least 10 people that have left as well.
That hotel used to give great memories to guests, now it seems more of a chain hotel. I also heard they wanted to take away the Sunday Brunch at Las Canarias. Do they not know that Sunday Brunch is something alot of people look forward to there?! Sure sometimes the numbers are low, but why take it away completely? I would highly recommend NOT working at this place.
Started at 27K annually, left at 27,5K annually. Not big on raises. One week after one year of employment for vacation, pretty standard. Did not qualify for bonuses, only Management did. No perks. Insurance was pretty standard as well. Deducted approximately $130 from my paycheck each month.
