Came to pwav through an acquisition. The company was very disorganized. My first boss quit within one month and my second boss was at a different location 300mi away and I only saw him 2 times in 8 months. He was also laid off about the same time I was. Smart engineers do not last there. Only the stab-in-the-back, ruthless, go-get-it types are successful. In general engineers are viewed as disposable assets and there are one or two layoffs every year. The company has moved all manufacturing to China and is actively moving all engineering to India. Also, the turnover rate is very high as people get tired of wandering if they will make it through the next round of layoffs. Note also that with the wireless business nearly dead and pwav stock in the toilet the HR personnel will not hesitate to tell you that the boom times of the dotcom era are just around the corner and that the stock will soon go back to $200.00 a share and everyone will be able to buy a brand new BWM or Mercedes. Save yourself some headaches and steer clear of this company.
