Excellent training. The training will prepare you for the job and teach you a lot about insurance. Progressive has a very “young” culture. They strive to hire and promote very young men and women. The culture is friendly and the people the work there are nice.
The downside is a very high and stressful workload. As a claims adjuster you will put in 10hr days constantly. Most of your day will be spent on the phone, computer, and fax trying to figure out various things related to the claims you handle. Dealing with individuals involved with an insurance claim/accident is not enjoyable. I think you have to really want a career in the insurance industry to like it here.
Salary was $42,000 for me with no experience coming right out of college. Other benefits are health, dental, vision, 401k, and vacation time.
