I was hired by SAIC to lead a team of programmers. We had a great relationship until the contact person from SAIC was transferred to another division. The new contact person decided he wanted to increase profits by converting me and all the other contractors to employees. So he lied to the companies we were subcontracted to (because he legally was not able to hire us), placed an opening on SAIC's website and called each of us to apply the the opening. He also informed us not to tell the company we were contracted to. However, what the SAIC contact did not realize is that we were being paid double what SAIC was wanting to pay so when we refused to accept the employee position with SAIC, he tried to blackball the contractors to the customer. However, the customer so liked the contractors they informed SAIC that if the contractors went so too would SAIC.
SAIC Is the most unprofessional, evil, corrupt company I have ever worked for. All you have to do is search on SAIC and see the number of times they have been charged with overcharging the goverment but yet somehow they continue to do work for the goverment.
