Had I known ahead of time, I would not have accepted the position. The company is run by two very unprofessional individuals, a mother and son. They speak very badly of other employees in front of others and it only makes you wonder about what they say about you.
The corporate culture really is one of fear. Fear for your job, which results in coworkers always playing "cover your a**" or pointing fingers for fear a single error will send you packing. During my six months on the job, I saw over 10 individuals get terminated over minor or nonexistant errors. (in a company of under 50 employees!) There is no such thing as counseling the employee and giving the individual an opportunity to address a weakness.
On the plus side, the company has very standardized administrative procedures for their offices so things are easy to find, but I suspect this is merely to help with the revolving door of employees.
I hope this review doesnt sound too much like a rant, but its hard to find anything positive about my experience here.
starting salary was close to 50K, however there is no insurance, vacation, sick or personal days offered.
