It's an ok place to work. Limited opportunities to be promoted but ok for an easy life

Stay away from working at University of Phoenix. I started as an enrollment counselor and I thought I would be helping students but I actually was a sleazy salesman. You’re expected to convince students to register. That’s it plain and simple. You have to get them to sign up. You’re a phone salesman and they set very high goals for you. If you do poorly you are called out in front everyone. It’s a boiler room culture. They humiliate you if you don’t do well.
This is a joke. They say can earn an unlimited amount of money since you get compensated by how many students you recruit but this is very difficult.
